ChaShaMa is a Non Profit that is focused on giving artists a chance thrive in New York City. They do this by providing spaces for artists to have studio space, host events and galleries, even host shows as well. They also have artists teach classes for as well. As a Photography intern, I was tasked to document many of these events for them.
Fordham Plaza Art Space
Here, I took photos of artists hard at work in a Fordham Plaza space that ChaShaMa had opened.
A week later, we also celebrated the this same space opening at a ribbon cutting event.
Community Events
Along with providing spaces, ChaShaMa also provides their artists with a chance to teach classes and conduct art themed events.
Galleries
I was also tasked with taking photos of artists galleries as a way to promote their art.
